There is no mistake that Maro Wieboldt Jr. can play guitar like few others before him.  Born in Kingsville, Texas to a Marine pilot dad and architecture student mother, he picked up the guitar at age eight and had a natural instinct for playing.  

His proclivity has always been toward jazz and he has played hundreds of venues from Dallas to cities along the Gulf of Mexico.  A true savant of music, playing every style from classical to punk rock he is also a gifted and insightful producer for several other south Texas artists of rap, rock and blues genres.  However, Maro’s roots remain in jazz and his heart in playing his guitar and in his brief time away from playing live, he never stopped writing musical compositions that are emotionally staggering and lyrics that are enduringly entertaining and clever.  

A quiet man, who is always striving to perfect his art, Maro is back on the performing circuit with a brand new CD, reminiscent of his jazz roots, Complicated (The Liberty Sessions), produced at Vague Studios, the entire album was recorded entirely live with no “magic” of production and a tour set for kickoff in Summer 2011.
